Dear Chris,

When I first walked in your doors in the middle of December 2007, I was at an all time low for my fitness level and all time high for my weight. I was motivated to get back in shape and loose weight but was not sure how to reach my goals. As the mother of four very athletic children (ages 10-17), I did not want to be the overweight, out of shape mother cheering her children on from the sidelines. I had been busy with my children and aging parents and had put myself “on the back burner”.

My first training session was December 31, 2007. Through the guidance, support and encouragement of all four of you, I have made great strides in the past 16 weeks. I have lost 14 ½ pounds including 16 pounds of fat weight. I have reduced my resting heart rate and increased my muscular strength in all areas. The staff has advised me on proper nutrition for training and weight loss. I have kept a food and exercise log which is reviewed by one of you regularly so I can know the areas that need improvement. This has really helped me stay on track. Best of all, I look and feel so much better.

Thanks for frequently updating and changing my workouts so I am always improving and it never gets boring. Thanks for pushing me to do one more rep. or lift a little heavier than I thought I could. Thanks for always encouraging me to work at 110%. Thanks for working with my busy crazy schedule.

I can not say that it has been easy. I could not have gotten to where I am today by myself; you could not have done it for me but instead we did it together! Ya’ll are the best!

Dear Chris & Brian,

Just wanted to say thank you for helping me reach my fitness goals and getting me in great shape! I came to you in October with low energy, a tight-fitting wardrobe, and monthly migraines. I knew that my 30’s had definitely hit and my metabolism had come to a halt. I needed help.

With an overall goal to lose weight and feel better, I also had a ski trip planned for February that I wanted to be able to enjoy to the fullest – which added an extra incentive to kick start fitness training. By December (in just two short months), I had lost almost 10 pounds, several inches and had improved my cardiovascular health and strength dramatically.

By the end of my training sessions with you all this month, I am down two sizes in my clothes and feel great. My monthly migraines were no longer occurring and I was able to ski six hours/day for five days on my ski trip without getting sore or injured!! Amazing!

I now know what to eat and when to eat to optimize my metabolism. I’ve learned what incredible changes strength training can do for your body... not only in getting rid of body fat but how it changes your body – clothes fit in a different way for me now. Finally, you’ve taught me how to maximize cardio workouts so that I get the most benefit without spending hours at a time on a treadmill.

I always felt as if you guys had my best interest in mind and knew the answers to all my questions. I looked forward to my workouts because I knew that each time, we’d have a blast and I’d feel motivated and better about myself after each session.

It really is true that if you follow the program that is laid out for you by you and your team, you will achieve your goals. Unfortunately, I have to part ways with you all for a few months, but I will be working hard to maintain and maybe even reduce my body fat even more. I’m hoping to see you all again later in the year for some final prepping before my wedding in January 2008!

Dear Chris, Jason, and Brian,

I have been committed to fitness and healthy living for over a decade, but I have only experienced the true meaning of “fitness” since joining you guys in Buckhead. I am getting married in October, and just as every other bride out there, I have an image in my head of what I want to look like on my wedding day. A toned and defined upper body is at the top of my list, and with regular weight training I have definitely achieved just that!! I have done my fair share of endurance training in the past but before now I have never fully embraced weight lighting. I was always afraid of doing things incorrectly or not knowing what to do at all. Now, I have learned how to properly incorporate weights and cardio into a full fitness routine, which has provided me with results that were once unimaginable. I am so pleased with the outcome to date that I can’t imagine what another two months will bring!! Your team has done an incredible job of setting my expectations and encouraging me throughout my training and I know I could not have been as committed as I am now without them. As a result of my training regiment, I have gained confidence and physical and mental strength. I am loving life!

…I can’t find enough words to say about your team, especially Chris Buckley. Over the past two months I have been amazed at the improvements with my physical and mental stamina. The first time I met you, Jason, you said several things that really brought home my problems with a lack of balance physically. You and Chris and Tim believing in me have made all the difference.

Your program has been nothing like what I have experienced in the past or expected from you. I have such tremendous respect for Chris and his expertise, but also his extraordinary ability to educate me and others. Chris has generously and so willingly shared his global fitness knowledge and has given me a new perspective on nutrition and cardiovascular exercise that will last me a lifetime. Having been exposed to other fitness trainers while I was at Emory, I can really appreciate Chris; he is an amazingly talented and gifted professional and by far the best I have ever encountered.

There has been such a paradigm shift in the U.S. regarding nutrition and overall fitness regimens. I think the American public is largely confused and the growing epidemic of obesity in our country is indeed frightening. You and your team could not be in a better position to make a difference.

Dear Jason,

I want to thank you and your team for changing my life. Through the support of Chris, yourself and the rest of the trainers I now have more energy and can accomplish more than I even imagined. After I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2000 I was very tentative to push myself or try anything new. I routinely had to take a rest mid afternoon just to get through the day. I am happy to say that after working with you guys I no longer need those times of rest. I have the energy to go through the day with a positive attitude and focus. Chris has helped me to get out of my comfort zone and push myself (with the proper form) and try harder. I know that my muscles are in better shape than they ever have been and I am no longer afraid to try something new. With the encouragement I have received I have even completed TWO 5K runs in the last 6 months. That is something I never thought I could accomplish even before the MS!

Your team has also helped my family to eat properly to live a strong and healthy lifestyle. It was a hard concept for me to grasp, but with your encouragement I know that we need to eat healthy meals at regular intervals to keep our bodies and our metabolism moving. I still have work to do, but with the support of you, Chris and the rest of the crew I feel more confident and positive about achieving my goals.

Dear Chris and Brian,

In January of 2005 I set several fitness related goals for my New Year’s resolution. I had always been disciplined with the cardiovascular workout but lacked the weight/core aspect of my overall training. I had long recognized the importance of weight training but I didn’t quite know where to start. A friend referred me to you guys and after meeting Chris, I knew it was a fit.

Chris and Brian were terrific to work with. They tailor-made every workout to fit with my cardio regimen. They would change up the routine so my body would constantly be tested. The results were fantastic. My whole body felt and looked significantly stronger. I was amazed after 25 plus years of only doing cardio the benefits of a full body regimen.

In addition to the workout, I enjoyed getting to know and learn from Chris and Brian. Not only are they a wealth of nutrition and fitness knowledge, they were a lot of fun to spend time with. I really looked forward to the days I worked out I felt like each session was totally devoted to me and my needs. They eased my fears that weight training would “bulk” me up. Surprise! It actually leaned me up! Even though I was somewhat skeptical about the whole resistance training thing at first, I put my trust in them and they did not let me down.

I’m proud to say that my training at your facility enabled me to complete my first mini-triathalon…even without directly training for the event itself! Nothing short of amazing!

Dear Chris,

In the past two months you have coached, encouraged, and guided me to a new state of health and fitness. Before finding you guys, I was at my breaking point where I was tired of feeling unhealthy and knew I needed to make a change in my life. I did not wake up one day in my condition; rather it was the consequence of seven years of inactivity. I would frequent the gym on occasion, but I lacked the structure, accountability, and knowledge to formulate a fitness plan for myself. I constantly made false promises and had endless excuses. It is still difficult for me to believe or even admit, but I had indeed settled into a sedentary lifestyle with poor dietary habits. I knew I could not reverse the results of years of inactivity alone. I needed to seek professional assistance to help me realize my full potential, so I contacted your team.

After making the decision to change and a long conversation with Jason that reaffirmed my commitment, I agreed to come by the studio. I have looked forward to my training sessions ever since our first workout. In only two short months, in your infinite wisdom of weight training and nutrition, you have not only sculpted me into a new person physically, but have proven I can make time to eat healthy and train even with my hectic schedule. The proof is in the results: I have lost 5 inches off my waist, 28.4 lbs., and 7.4% body fat. I’ve completed two 5K’s in under thirty minutes, and I’m planning to run the Peachtree 10K this summer. I am in a much-improved state of physical fitness, have increased self-esteem, and am on the right path to living a long and healthy lifestyle. With your guidance, I have managed to accomplish these goals while continuing to travel three to five days a week with my job – something I did not believe I could achieve.

Chris, you are a truly exceptional person and gifted trainer. Your commitment to your clients and constant encouragement is what drives me to keep coming back. Not only are you extremely knowledgeable, but you have an uncanny ability to make grueling workouts enjoyable. Perhaps it’s your singing that I look forward to or the crazy things you do to make me laugh while I’m trying to concentrate. Your charisma, infectious personality, and passion for physical fitness motivate me. You make me feel comfortable in the gym and you make me laugh. Most of all, you have given me back my health – something I could not have accomplished without you.
